Pembrokeshire Duathlon

What and where is the event?

A sprint distance duathlon (5k run, 21k bike, 2.5k run) set on the banks of the Milford Haven Waterway at Brunel Quay, Neyland. The event will be permitted by British Triathlon, and hosted the Welsh Duathlon Championships in 2026. To take part in this event, you either need to be a British Triathlon member, or purchase a Race Pass separately from them.

How big is it?

The field is limited to 160 competitors. Relay teams (of 2 or 3 people) are very welcome!

What is the course like?

The first 5k run is completely flat, heading out through Neyland Marina and on to the cycle path that runs alongside Westfield Pill Nature Reserve, before turning back to retrace your steps to transition. The bike has a few climbs (208m in total), and some fast descents, with a mix of main roads and quiet country lanes. The final 2.5k is a shorter version of run 1, finishing on the sea front at Brunel Quay with the Milford Haven Waterway as the backdrop.  Details of both courses, including download links, can be found in 2026 Athlete Brief.

Is it suitable for novices?

It sure is! This event is the perfect introduction to multisport.

What is the minimum age?

You need to be 15 or over on 31st December.

How much is it to enter?

£50 (individuals), £60 (relay teams) (plus online booking fee)

That sounds like good value! Is everything included?

Yep! The entry fee is fully inclusive of the following:

• Tyvek race numbers and sticker set from Sportstiks
• Electronic timing
• Organic cotton event t-shirt from Howies (only for entries received by Saturday 13th February 2027)
• Prizes
• Free electronic event photos from RAW Photography

Does the event raise money for good causes?

Yes. The net profit from all of our events supports Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club develop triathlon in Pembrokeshire. Each event also supports one or more local good causes, including Greenacres Animal Rescue, Support the Boardwalk, and the RNLI.

Anything else I need to know?

Make sure you have read our Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy before you enter.

The 2026 Athlete Brief has all the details about timings, registration, the course (including maps and profiles), and prize giving.  The 2027 version will be published here closer to the event.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 26th February 2027, or as soon as the event fills, whichever comes first (the event sold out in 2026).
